Skill Type: Fighting
   
Effect: If you have a Shield equipped, you may exhaust it to cancel wounds being dealt to you or 1 adjacent hero. The number of wounds canceled still equals the amount listed on the Shield card. In addition, while you have a guard order placed on you, all other adjacent heroes gain +1 armor.

Road to Legend

The Defender skill is not available in the Road to Legend Advanced Campaign.

Sea of Blood

The Defender skill can be learned at Gafford in the Sea of Blood Advanced Campaign.
