Beastmen
Monster, Journeys in the Dark
I - Rules
These half-men are the most common foes encountered in the Dark. They strike with tooth and claw, and their leaders bind them into deadly packs that strive with one mind to bring down and devour the heroes they despise.

II - Tactics
Beastmen are the bread and butter of Descent, but that doesn't mean these monsters are easy cannon fodder (for that, see the lame Kobolds). Yes, they can be killed quite easily, but they can inflict a tremendous amount of damage to the heroes if they have enough time to act or are spawned around a corner. Beastmen have a bonus to damage which is also increased if a Master Beastman is not far away to boost them with the Command ability. Now imagine the overlord in the Gold level of the campaign in Road to Legend using the Elite Beastman War Party spawn card. You now have 2 Master Beastmen with Command 2. Well placed, they had 4 damage to the normal Beastmen who also have +3 damage and you get... +7 damage! The lesson? Stay more than 4 spaces away from them if you cannot kill them straight away and eliminate the red ones as soon as possible.
