Ravaella Lightfoot

Ravaella Lightfoot

Description

“Whoever heard of a gnomish wizard?” they said. To the big folk, gnomes are hardly worthy of notice, never to be respected and certainly never trusted. Ravaella Lightfoot saw no reason to be stopped by this, managing to gain access to the University. Despite efforts of the faculty and staff, she acquired many skills in the mystic arts. Now, she plies her trade to prove that gnomes can do anything the smelly giants can do, and better at that!

Dezra the Vile

Dezra the Vile

Quote

“Very few people understand my abilities. I prefer it that way.”

Description

A deep fascination and aptitude with darker magic has made Dezra a bit of an outsider all her life, but this has never bothered her. Her mannerisms and habit of staring at people as if visually dissecting them provided her with the title of “Vile,” and her odd tendencies have often led townsfolk to forcefully request her departure. This also hasn’t bothered her. For Dezra, discovering the secrets of flesh and magic has always been more important than the petty trappings of polite society, and no force in the world will keep her from satisfying this morbid curiosity.

High Mage Quellen

Quote

“I feed off the wisdom of others, even when it’s less filling than my own.”

Description

As Quellen’s dubious title implies, he is an Elf that no longer resides within the Aymhelin. The Latari don’t have such ranks within their own arcane institutions, and certainly an Elf as young as Quellen would not have risen so high before even reaching his one hundredth year of service to Lord Aenoeth. Quellen’s mysterious link to the natural world drove him to explore the outside world, far away from what he would soon learn is referred to as the “Green Gate.” Unlike many Latari, Quellen got on well with the other races inhabiting Terrinoth. He enjoyed the naïvety of humans, the craftsmanship of dwarves, the traditions of the orcs, and even the eccentricities of the gnomes. For that reason, Quellen devotes his unique powers to protecting those that gave him his title.

Leoric of the Book

Quote

“If my years of study have taught me anything, it is that I am worthy of the knowledge I possess.”

Description

After one too many heated arguments with the Provost, Professor Leoric of the University of Greyhaven was invited to go on an “exteded sabbatical.” As an adventurer, Leoric’s constant references to his scolarly texts quickly earned him the sobriquet “of the Book.” Leoric’s sabbatical continues as the former professor applies his magical knowledge in the field and seek out long-forgotten knowledge and wisdom.

Widow Tarha

Quote

“I have nothing left to lose. Yet, there is so much more power for me to gain.”

Description

Young, beautiful, and full of joy, Tarha once seemed destined for a long, happy life in the traditional vein: a strong husband, many strong children, and a respected place in her tribe. What more could an orc maiden wish for? But after her husband was murdered by soldiers who couldn’t be bothered to distinguish a law-abiding orc from a savage invader, Tarha’s life turn sour. Her earlier studies in the mystic arts turned toward darkness and forbidden lores, until she might have strength enough to protect not just the orcs, but all downtrodden and oppressed peoples everywhere. Ultimately, Tarha was exiled by her tribe for her obsession, but she is now past caring. Sometimes called Tarha the Twice-Widowed, she will do anything and pay any price to achieve her goals.
